>TAMPA (CBS Tampa) — Artist Jon McNaughton is standing up for gun rights in his latest painting.
>Titled “Stand Your Ground" – a controversial law brought into the limelight when George Zimmerman fatally shot Trayvon Martin in Sanford, Fla. – his work depicts a man dressed in soldier fatigues holding both an assault rifle and an American flag.
Can this be any more American ?
This might make me lose some followers, so be it.
Does anyone remember this girl? Probably not, but she was murdered in 2012 by two teenagers. Why? They wanted to steal parts from her bicycle. Strange though, I don’t remember seeing the Miami Heat riding bicycles on to the court. I don’t remember seeing any celebrities putting pink streaks in their hair.
The two teens could have easily pushed this girl off her bike and taken it, getting what they wanted. Instead they chose to beat a defenseless 12 year old girl to death and stuff her body in a trash can. One of the murderers is such a complete and utter SCUMBAG that he went to her memorial vigil praying for her safe return and “liked” the Facebook page created for her. Since everyone else is using the race argument the last couple days, enjoy this:
These were two black teenagers that willingly chose to brutally end a 12 year olds life (official causes of death were blunt force trauma and strangulation). She was beat and then strangled until she took her last breath. An innocent 12 year old girl went through an enormous amount of suffering because two wanna be thugs wanted to steal her bicycle.
Where is the justice in the national media? I don’t remember seeing any celebrities showing support. I must have missed the event where Lil Jon wore his “Justice for Autumn” shirt.
If the skin colors were reversed in this incident, Jesse Jackson and the NAACP would have swarmed south Jersey crying “hate crime” until they were blue in the face, but since that’s not the case here, you probably haven’t heard about this case, that happened in October 2012. You didn’t hear about two teenagers luring a girl who was friends with one of her soon to be killers to their house. You didn’t hear about a clear cut case of the 1st degree murder of a 12 year old girl…. somebody’s daughter… somebody’s sister… someone’s classmate who won’t be joining them in 7th grade in September.
Why? Because the media doesn’t want you to. There is more money to be made in overhyping a murder trial where someone is claiming self defense than a little girl’s body in a trash can…. but I guess that’s just the world we live in.
You don’t have to like this.
You don’t have to reblog this.
But hopefully you read it.
Hopefully it opened your eyes.
